Raglan Cooler Bag with Gone Glamping

It’s Sara from @SaraBQuilts here to talk about the cutest summer fabric collection by Lori Whitlock, Gone Glamping! Are you a camper? I, admittedly, avoid camping to the best of my ability. But glamping? Count me in! Showers, air conditioning, soft beds- everything I want with the joys of being outdoors! Lori Whitlock created the cutest fabric prints to celebrate the fun of summer glamping with the sweetest prints, happiest colors, and most perfect plaids!

Now that we live in Michigan, there are ample opportunities to get outside and explore beautiful Great Lake coastlines. I am always looking for coolers to take, so that we have cold drinks at our convenience after long hikes. Liza Taylor Handmade’s Raglan Cooler is the perfect cooler bag in my opinion. It is soft and collapsable, uses Insul-Shine which keeps things cool, and can be made in the cutest fabric combinations imaginable. You can find the pattern here.

The Raglan Cooler comes in three sizes- small, medium, and large- and I have now made the small and the medium. The small would fit a tiny picnic lunch for a few people or a 4 pack of soda. It is roomy, but not so roomy that you need to make space for it. The medium cooler is perfect for a gallon of milk, a bag of salad, and a few drinks. The large cooler is the cooler that you haul with you to Costco. It will fulfill all of your cooling needs!

I made the small size using my Gone Glamping fabric and absolutely love how it turned out! I chose Blue Dots as the fabric for the front and back of the cooler, Yellow Gingham as the sides, Aqua Bouquets as the top and bottom, and Pink Flowers and Pink Campers as my accent fabrics! The colors all compliment each other so well!

To go with my Raglan Cooler, I made some fun, little beverage holders (koozies) to up our glamping style even more! I found the tutorial here, and paired White Campers with Aqua Flowers and Red Gingham with Midnight bouquets to make these sweet koozies!

I am so excited to take my Raglan Cooler and new koozies with me next time we go exploring in Northern Michigan! I can’t wait to see what you make with Riley Blake Design’s Gone Glamping collection.

Happy making, friends!
