YES, that Melissa Gilbert!! We are beyond thrilled to have the Modern Prairie brand joining Riley Blake Designs. Preview Melissa’s debut collection, A Walk on the Prairie, arriving this fall.

Modern Prairie, finds its muse in the cherished series, Little House on the Prairie (“LHOTP”), and our Co-Founder, Melissa Gilbert, known fondly as Laura Ingalls Wilder. From fashion to home design, our product range is a testament to the enduring allure of Americana and prairie chic style, thoughtfully reimagined to cater to the demands of the contemporary world. We center our attention on women aged 50 and beyond, offering them a source of inspiration, engagement, validation, and connection. Our brand is about fostering connections, and creating a community where women not only shop but also directly interact with the brand and, more importantly, with each other, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared experiences. We believe that “it’s never too late to find your natural self … brave change, open your heart, and evolve.”

Amber Elliot of Alderwood Studio

We have been fans of Amber and her modern style for a while and we are thrilled to share her debut fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs, Garden Dreams, will be arriving this September!

As a passionate gardener, my life revolves around the garden and the ever-changing seasons. Each year, as the late winter approaches, I find myself daydreaming about what my garden will look like in the coming year. While I wait for the spring weather to arrive I start my seeds and daydream about spring days warmed by the sun, leaves emerging from their long winter slumber, fluffy clouds passing by on a cool breeze, and the first wild roses.

Diane Labombarbe

Diane’s debut collection is the sweetest! We can’t wait for Farm Livin’ and we’re so thrilled to have Diane join the RBD Family.

Farm Livin’ emerged from memories of my childhood spent on an old farm. My mother was a seamstress and I spent the days outside, running through the pastures and walking down those long country roads, past the fields of cattle, sheep and the occasional horse. I learned to sew at a young age and loved it, but we didn’t often get novelty fabrics. I wanted to make a set of designs that I might have liked to have seen back then. This collection is an expression of the type of art that I would have loved to have used in my own sewing projects.
