Hydrangeas – Free Reversible Apron Pattern
Hi friends, it’s Damjana from AppleGreen Cottage, and today I’m so excited to share my free apron sewing pattern that was practically calling out for the lush florals of Hydrangeas in the Garden by Jennifer Bosworth. It’s already become a favorite in our home.

This is one of those patterns that just works – practical, comfortable, and fun to sew. Even better, it comes in two sizes: one for adults and one for kids, so you can sew matching aprons for baking days, crafting afternoons, or messy creative moments together.
Why You’ll Love This Apron Pattern
This apron was designed with everyday sewing in mind:
- Fully reversible – two looks in one apron
- Large double pocket on both sides – nothing gets lost
- Adjustable neckband – comfy for different heights
- Easy-to-adjust the length – add or skip the wide bottom strap

That bottom strap is one of my favorite details. Keep it for a longer, classic apron look, or leave it off for a shorter version – same pattern, different style.
You’ll also love the large pockets – on each side! I divided each into two – just to have more options:

Why not sew up a matching set in these beautiful prints? Download the reversible apron pattern in adult and child sizes and make it a project to remember. The tutorial includes exact yardage requirements and prints I used from the Hydrangeas in the Garden collection.

Reversible projects are extra fun when you can mix prints – something lively on one side, a contrasting set on the other. And with beautiful Riley Blake collections like this one, you really get to let those gorgeous florals and sweet details shine on both sides.

The apron is sturdy enough for real use, but pretty enough to gift. And because it sews up quickly, you might find yourself making more than one.
