An Homage to Ingleside

Hey, hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes and I have the *prettiest* project to share with you today!

I got the opportunity to work with the newest collection from Fran Gulick, called Homage. This collection is full of sweet and simple prints – roses, teacups, hexagons, oranges, (and more!) – with the prettiest palette of purples, mint, and orange. I was in love with the concept of this collection as I learned about it’s creation. It was designed as a way to honor Fran’s grandmother and the memories she had growing up. This felt like a great opportunity to pair it with one of my most favorite quilts of mine, Ingleside.

This quilt pattern is pre cut friendly, accommodating 5 and 10 inch stackers and Fat Quarters, and I knew it would perfectly showcase the range of color in this collection as well as the array of prints. I opted for a gradient layout from corner to corner, contrasted with a bright Riley White Confetti Cotton background. Isn’t it lovely?

I was able to work with my local long armer, Dana Miller of Coastside Quilt Studio, to help me quilt it. We used the City of Fountains pantograph and it just finished it beautifully.
