Discover Albuquerque With our 2025 Shop Hop

It’s time for some quilty fun as you bloom by the yard!  For the 2025 Albuquerque Shop Hop, seven quilt shops in Albuquerque area have sewn seeds for joyful sewing as they each designed a quilt block around the theme “By the Yard”.

We all used Riley Blake Painter’s Water Color Swirl in Bleached Denim as our background fabric.  We’ve included traditional piecing, raw edge applique, paper piecing and texturizing to provide quilters a variety of ways to build garden themed quilt blocks. Pick up a block kit at each store or download the patterns for free.  Collect all seven kits and sew one of the quilts the stores have each designed incorporating each block.

Join us August 21st through 23^rd 2025.  Hoppers have 3 days to make their way around the shops and get their passports stamped.  Get your passport stamped at every store and you will be entered to win one of several raffle prizes.  Prizes include a $50 gift card bundle to each of the 7 stores, a $250 gift basket from one of the stores (seven stores means 7 chances to win!) and additional gift cards. Some shops have individual raffle prizes in store during the event!

 This is a perfect time to carpool with your sewing pals or to make Albuquerque a destination for a sewing themed holiday. We do visitor hospitality big here with coffee shops, local restaurants, museums, music venues and mountains and mesas for hiking.

Whether you will be a tourist in your home town, someone revisiting, or someone getting to know us for the first time, we look forward to saying hello, swapping sewing stories and having fun by the yard!
