A Note about AI-Generated Artwork in Fabric
In this month’s livestream video Cindy showcased the stunning panels in our new Majestic in Nature II collection and how our wildlife themed fabric collections begin with artists and are digitized and brought to fabric by our team.
We thought it would be a perfect time to share our stance on AI-generated artwork in our fabric collections.
At RBD, we’re proud to work with talented designers, and beloved licensed brands to bring original artwork to fabric.
The creativity behind every collection is part of what makes our collections so special. RBD does not use AI-generated artwork, and we have no plans to do so.
We’ll continue to celebrate human creativity, support our designers, and bring their beautiful work to makers everywhere.

Drifting by Al Agnew
A great example is in our Majestic in Nature II collection. The first panel we have is called Drifting. It is created from a painting done by Al Agnew, a renowned wildlife artist.
Our team works to digitize the original artwork that we license from artists to bring their work into fabric. You can learn more about Al Agnew here.
We firmly believe that AI-generated art can not compete with the incredible work of the many, many talented artists and designers that we work with at Riley Blake Designs.
