Luck o’ the Basics

Top o’ the mornin’ to ya, fibre friends! Shereece Nicole of Sew Hooked on Treasures here with a fun tutorial to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

A little about me… I grew up in Dublin, Ohio. As you can image, St. Patrick’s Day was HUGE! Maybe not on the level of Chicago and Boston, but pretty big considering the size of our town. So I continue the tradition of pretending to be Irish for a day.

With a variety of Riley Blake Basics, I created two versions of this fun four-leaf clover block. You can make it using strips or not (depending on what’s in your stash). Once my blocks were complete, I sewed them onto long-sleeve tees to be able to wear them out and about.

I had more of the Basics to match the strip version, so I decided to make a pillow cover. If you’d like a tutorial for it, please let me know! If I get some “yes” votes, I’ll prepare one for you!

I hope you enjoy making this block as much as I did! Be sure to Pin the tutorial on Pinterest so you don’t lose it and please share your creations with me on Instagram, Facebook or by email. You can also reach out in those places or in the comments below with questions. I’m happy to help!
