Spring Hill Quilt

Delectable Mountain Reimagined: Spring Hill Quilt in Olive Grove

Hello, Friends! It’s Sandy from Thai Charm here. I’m excited to share the Spring Hill Quilt made with Olive Grove collection. The collection is filled with earthy colors, olive branches, and delicate herb sprigs that bring a touch of nature indoors. With its mix of soft textures, bold graphic prints, and even some subtle corporate-inspired neutrals, the collection feels both timeless and fresh. I knew right away it would be perfect for my Spring Hill Quilt.

This version uses 12 fat quarters from the collection, yardage for sashings, and Confetti Cotton in Cloud as the background fabric. I’m listing the fabrics I used below, so you can make one too!

Accents (12 fat quarters):

  • Floral Cyprus
  • Floral Ivory
  • Floral Plum
  • Olive Branches Green
  • Olive Branches Heather
  • Herbs Eggplant
  • Herbs Pink
  • Damask Sage
  • Damask Terracotta
  • Script Plum
  • Arrows Cyprus
  • Mill Tiles Pink

Sashings (7/8 yard): Mill Tiles Plum
Background (1 7/8 yards): Confetti Cotton in Cloud

The Spring Hill Quilt is my take on the classic Delectable Mountain block. If you’ve never made one before, this is such a wonderful opportunity to give it a try. The block is surprisingly versatile, and once you learn the technique, it becomes a skill you can add under your quilty belt. Using Olive Grove fabrics, the block takes on a natural, calming vibe that feels both modern and traditional at the same time.

If you’d like to skip the sashings, you can make the quilt with just fat quarters and background fabric. The non-sashing version is every bit as beautiful and still looks intricate while staying approachable for confident beginners and experienced quilters alike. I hope you enjoyed making this Spring Hill Quilt as much as I did!
