Four Lakes Quilt and Autumn Fabric

Look at these fabrics! The newest line by Lori Holt called Autumn, has the sweetest florals and when I saw them, it felt like they needed a vintage quilt block to showcase them! I recently finished The Pattern Writing Academy by Alderwood Studio and have been itching to dip my toes into pattern designing ever since! I wanted to start with something simple and I love a quilt pattern that uses classic quilt blocks but with a twist to make them modern. That is how my soon to be released quilt pattern called Four Lakes, was born!

The Four Lakes quilt pattern consists primarily of the classic quilt block called lady of the lake, which is just two sizes of half square triangles. A confident beginner or even a brand new quilter would be able to construct it, and it is perfect for a seasoned quilter who needs a quick make to whip up!

Don’t these florals shout vintage to you? (but in a very graceful, dainty way of course). The Four Lakes pattern has instructions for two sizes (Lap 41″x41″ and Throw 60″x60″), three different colorways and is fat quarter friendly. It is quite satisfying to make and I had a lot of fun creating it! You can find the pattern here!

If you want more info on my Four Lakes Quilt pattern release, sign up for my newsletter here, and follow me on instagram, Piece and quilted Studio, where I will be showcasing other variations of Four Lakes as well as my wonderful pattern tester versions (and maybe even an awesome giveaway)!!

It feels good to make.
