Announcing the 2027 RBD Block Challenge!

We can hardly believe that it’s that time of year again. It’s time to announce the 2027 RBD Block Challenge!! This is our largest annual sew along and the community sewing along with us has grown year after year to make such a fun online group of sewist!

Without further ado, let’s look at the design for 2027!

For 2027 we are continuing our pattern of having two versions, one in Confetti Cottons™️ and one in Batiks. For 2027 we decided to do two different color palettes as well! Here you can see our Confetti Cottons™️ version on the left and the Batiks version on the right. Remember, you can use ANY fabrics you want for this free sew along. Some of the quilt shops participating are offering kits in these fabrics but also other collections!

The Schedule

This sew along kicks off on January 5th, 2027! We have the complete schedule, fabric requirements, and cutting guides available for you! We are also delighted that our friends at Quilting with Latinas are sewing along with us again this year and will be providing Spanish translations for the sew along. Stay tuned for those updates!

The Facebook Group

Year after year the Facebook Group for this sew along has grown into a fun hub of quilters! This group is only for topics RBD Block Challenge related! If you enjoy sewing with a community, join the group here! It is a private FB group only to control spam, we welcome all who want to sew along!
