Designer Cayla Naylor wanted every piece to feel joyful, bold, and full of energy so kids can discover, imagine, and celebrate being themselves.

The Homestead by Tara Reed

20 years ago, this city girl once went to a Dude Ranch… We got the hats, the boots and the bandanas and met in the mountains of California for a week of family fun. I knew I had allergies but I didn’t realize how badly my eyes and nose would react to horses – I quickly became the vacation photographer and left the horseback riding to others.

Nowadays I love to watch shows about about life on a ranch while painting in my home studio in Portland, Oregon. I hope The Homestead fabric collection helps you create the frontier vibes you are looking for in quilts, home decor and more.
