Make It Modern: February Pals – St Beary Patrick & Beary O’Cheers

St. Patrick’s Day is all about wearing green, being festive, and a little bit of charm… and the Beary Bunch February Pals bring all three to your sewing table. This month’s blocks, St. Beary Patrick and Beary O’Cheers, are designed to stitch beautifully with Riley Blake Designs Confetti Cotton solids while adding a playful seasonal touch to the Beary Bunch Block Series.

Hey there, Kelly Renay here. I’m excited to share this month’s additions to the growing Beary Bunch Block Series. Whether you’re sewing along month by month or jumping in for the holiday fun, these two bears are a lucky pair.

Meet February’s Festive Duo

The February Pals are united by their St. Patrick’s Day theme but each brings their own personality to the block series.

St. Beary Patrick:
St. Beary Patrick features classic holiday details like a tall hat, bright orange beard, and a pot of gold with a rainbow accent—perfect for bold color placement and high contrast pairings.

Beary O’Cheers:
Beary O’Cheers adds a celebratory twist with a clover-inspired hat, rainbow heart details, and a cheerful pub-style vibe that feels right at home in greens, golds, and pops of color.

Together, they create a lively pairing that works beautifully stitched side by side or mixed into a growing Beary Bunch collection.

How the Colors Cross-Reference

Both bears share select Confetti Cotton solids like Licorice and bright accent tones, creating an immediate visual connection between the blocks. Repeating these solids brings cohesion, makes it easy to mix and match both bears, and establishes a lively, festive foundation for the St. Patrick’s Day palette.

This intentional overlap is key to the Beary Bunch Block Series, helping each month’s release feel distinct while still working together as a growing collection.

Designed to Build, Month by Month

The Beary Bunch Block Series is designed as a growing collection, with each release designed around a specific holiday or season. The February Pals stitch seamlessly alongside the January Pals, helping create a cohesive seasonal set that can be displayed individually or combined into a larger quilt layout.

Each block uses straightforward piecing techniques, making the series approachable for confident beginners while still engaging for experienced quilters.
