Letters to Cupid – The Heartfelt Quilt

Hello Quilty Friends, its Rachel from Stitch With Rachel.
I am sharing my latest quilt project with you all, this month I had the pleasure of sewing with the brand new collection called Letters to Cupid. This collection is designed by My Minds Eye, and features classic designs of fluttering cupids, delicate florals, timeless stripes, and charming X’s & O’s.

I am a huge fan of the combination of red and pinks together, not to mention fun low volume cream fabrics. I knew straight away that I wanted to make a quilt so I could be ready to use it in February once the fun and memories of Christmas had faded.

I made the Hearts at Home pattern by Chelsi Stratton. There are two patterns available seperately, one uses 1.5″ strips and the other 2.5″. I opted to for the larger size and the quick came together surprisingly fast. So if you are in the time pinch, this is certainly a good one to make.

You can get into a nice chain piecing rhythm when making the blocks. I first started by making a test block and then proceeded to chain piece the remaining 15 blocks.

I only made one small change to the pattern and that was to add a border around the edge which matches the size of the sashing. I thought this frames the quilt nicely and will allow the binding to pop, whenever I get to that stage.

I hope you have enjoyed this look at the Letters to Cupid collection.
Happy Stitching,
Love Rachel xx
