Thrive Quilt with Let’s Wander
Hello, lovely quilting friends! I’m so excited to share today’s quilt, where I’ve paired the beautiful new Let’s Wander collection by Casey Cometti with the Thrive quilt pattern by Suzy Quilts.

If you’re ready to embrace modern lines, rich colour, and a touch of outdoor wanderlust, this one’s for you.
Why this pairing works
The Let’s Wander collection feels like a love letter to the outdoors — soft sage greens, sun-washed yellows, gentle creams and warm rust tones that conjure up quiet walks and sunlight through tall grass.
The Thrive pattern, meanwhile, has that signature Suzy Quilts balance of clean geometry and organic flow. It’s built around on-point blocks that create gentle diagonal movement across the quilt – perfect for fabrics inspired by the rhythm of nature.
My version: a throw size quilt

For my quilt, I made the throw size, but instead of fat quarters I used nine quarter-yards from Let’s Wander. It gave me a beautiful mix of prints and tones with minimum fabric waste – always a win in my book.
For the background, I used Sage Bobbers yardage from the collection. It’s a soft, balanced green that frames the prints beautifully without overpowering them. I used a butterscotch basic from Riley Blake to add a gold accent to the blocks.
The pattern comes together quickly once your blocks are cut. Lay everything out first – the collection prints vary in scale: I picked some feature prints and some simpler textures or tone-on-tones. You can see all the different prints and coordinated basics in the Let’s Wander storyboard.
When it came time to quilt, I used Glide thread in Pale Mist. It blended perfectly with the sage background and added just a touch of shimmer in the light – subtle but elegant.
Inside, I used Vlieseline Soya Wadding. It’s a natural blend made primarily from soya fibres, with a little polyester for stability. It’s lightweight, breathable, and incredibly soft to the touch – think of it as the eco-friendly cousin to traditional cotton batting. It drapes beautifully and gives a gentle, cosy loft without bulk, making it perfect for a quilt like this one.
