Hand Made- Fair and Square Bag

Hi Makers! It’s Sara of @SaraBQuilts with the cutest fabric collection to make your next sewing room organization project. This fabric collection, Hand Made, by Damask Love and Riley Blake Designs has the cutest craft and sewing themed illustrations! I love the bright and happy colors so much and you know I love the plaid! 

For the Hand Made fabrics, I decided to make the Fair and Square Bag by Rosie Taylor Crafts. You can find the pattern HERE. Like all of Rosie’s patterns, this pattern is well written, has lots of illustrations, and is fun to make!

My favorite print of the collection, Notions in Navy, made the perfect exterior main fabric for the bag. I love the pin cushions and buttons and ric rac! This fabric really set the tone of the bag. For the pocket fabric, I used the Gingham in Green and Pincushions in Pink. These two fabrics make the cutest pairing!

For the gusset and handles, I really wanted a pop of color. The gusset is Pincushions in Yellow and the handles are Words in Pink! I love the pink background with the red letters. It really adds a cute touch to the bag. The interior of the bag was made up of Crochet in Multi. This is a stunning print and tied all of the different fabrics together with all of the coordinating colors. Finally, I used Pincushions in Mint for the pocket. 

I love the Riley Blake Designs coordinating basics and the Navy in 1/8th stripe may be my favorite basic! It was perfect as the binding to the exterior pocket. I also used POParazzi in Peony as the interior binding. 

I just love Hand Made by Damask Love and Riley Blake Designs and I know there are so many fun projects waiting to be made with it! I am thinking about making Stay Sharp by Pen and Paper Patterns with it next! I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I do!
