Highbury Quilt: A Fresh Take on the Trip Around the World
Hi friends, it’s Sandy from Thai Charm LLC here! I’m so excited to share my newest quilt design with you, the Highbury Quilt made with the Emma Fabric Collection from the Jane Austen Series by Riley Blake Designs.

The soft florals and vintage hues in this collection bring such timeless charm. Each square blooms into the next, creating a gentle sense of movement and calm. It was the perfect match for this design.

Inspired by My Fade Quilt
The Highbury Quilt is a sister pattern to my original Fade quilt, but with a sweet twist. Instead of sewing one large quilt, I made four smaller versions and joined them together into one cozy finish.

This quilt was inspired by Emma , a story set in the village of Highbury, where a well-meaning matchmaker learns a lot about love, friendship, and herself. The Trip Around the World style layout felt like the perfect fit, symbolizing Emma’s journey of self-discovery and how everything, in the end, comes full circle. Paired with the Emma fabric collection, the quilt captures both the charm of the story and the warmth of a timeless classic.

The Highbury Quilt is totally fat quarter friendly and works so well with curated bundles like Emma. I love how the layout is simple and repetitive, it makes the sewing feel really doable, even if you’re short on time. You can chip away at it little by little, or dive in for a full weekend sew. Whether you’re making it for yourself or gifting it to someone special, it’s one of those quilts you’ll keep coming back to.

I hope you enjoy the Highbury Quilt as much as I do. While you wait for its release, feel free to grab the Fade Quilt pattern in my shop and start creating something beautiful today.
