Blue Blooms & Threads – Free Quilt Patterns
Earlier this year we shared Blue Blooms & Threads by Christopher Thompson (@the_tattooed_quilter), and today we wanted to circle back and highlight something we always love about a new Riley Blake Designs collection — the free quilt patterns!
If you picked up some of these fabrics (or have been eyeing them), Christopher designed three free quilt patterns designed to show them off. Each one has a totally different look, so you can choose the style that fits your sewing mood.
Threaded Quilt
The Threaded Quilt is a classic sampler-style quilt made up of star blocks set in a neat grid layout.
- Finished size: 66½” x 66½”
- Uses a 10″ stacker
- Great for showing off lots of different prints from the collection
Blue Blossoms Quilt
Next up is Blue Blossoms, which might be the sweetest of the three.
This quilt features rows of simple flower blocks that create a little garden of blue blooms.
- Uses a 5″ stacker
- Finished size: 40½” x 42½”
Blue Threads Quilt
The Blue Threads Quilt has a bold patchwork layout that lets the prints really shine.
The sashing between the blocks even gives a subtle “stitched” look, which is a fun nod to the sewing-inspired details in the collection.
- Uses a 10″ stacker
- Finished size: 59″ x 59″
