Delightful Mini Quilt: Blue Blooms & Threads

Hi Everyone, Its Rachel from Stitch With Rachel and I am here to share with your my latest make using a wonderful new collection titled Blue Blooms and Threads.
Whether you’re stitching up something traditional, modern, or a beautiful mix of both, the Blue Blooms and Threads collection by Christopher Thompson of The Tattooed Quilter has everything you need to make something truly special!

I have had the sewing machine quilt seed pattern by Lori Holt in my stash for a while and I decided that this was the perfect project to use the pattern. The sewing notions included in the fabric really added an extra dimension.

The pattern calls for you to make a mini piece of patchwork that is under the needle but I thought one of the stitches print worked great for this section. What a great feature print!

I also used one of the soft stripes as thread on the spool – although I think I placed the fabric the wrong way… ooops!
I love the border in this pattern, it gives a lovely girly touch to the project. I was considering using the large floral print that is in the collection for the border. However, I thought the print would get lost with all the pieces and you can’t go wrong with a small floral print!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little peek into my latest project and I have inspired you to pull out some patterns from your stash. If you would like to see more of my projects you can follow me on Instagram or YouTube. I am always sharing my projects, along with tutorials and sewing related comedy.
Happy Stitching,
Rachel xx
