Bee Basics Curvy Basket and Ice Cream Cone Pouch

Hi! Charise here from Charise Creates sharing my latest makes with Riley Blake’s Basics! I used Bee Basics including Bee Vintage, Bee Dots and Bee Ginghams all designed by Lori Holt of A Bee in my Bonnet.

Riley Blake has so many adorable Basics Fabrics! I had fun choosing some for my newest pattern – my Ice Cream Cone Zipper Pouch. The pattern comes in two sizes. The pattern is an Advanced Beginner / Intermediate pattern that you can make in a day.

I also made a basket to hold goodies in my sewing room. Having cute organizing solutions in my sewing room is a must!
The basket was made with Bee Vintage’s Cheater print. The cheater print is adorable, and if you want to make this project quickly it is the perfect choice! No piecing required! I used Riley 1/8″ gingham for the piping and bias trim which coordinates perfectly with the Bee Vintage Cheater Print.

The Ice Cream Cone pouch is so much fun to make! Choosing fabrics is my favorite part of the project. I used the following fabrics for the smaller cones pictured:
Bee Basics Fabrics:
Left- Ice Cream Fabric is Bee Vintage Nettie Cottage (the cone fabric is no longer available but Bee Ginghams Cassidy Tea Dye is a great substitute!)
Right – Ice Cream Fabric is Bee Vintage Lizzie Beehive and the Cone fabric is Bee Ginghams Cassidy Tea Dye

For the large Ice Cream on the left, I used Bee Vintage Mable Frosting for the ice cream, for the scallops I used Bee Ginghams Kassidy Coral, and for the cone I used Bee Dots Verona Cider.

Bee basics are so much fun to work with thus so incredibly versatile. I love to see what you make so be sure to tag your photos on social media with the hashtags:
