Cloudburst Zippies!

Hey, hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes and I had the privilege of working with the cutest fabrics from Jill Finley’s newest collection. The Cloudburst collection is full of bright florals and cheery cherries and I love the high contrast of the colors! If you know me, I love to work with lots of bright and bold fabrics, and these prints were just perfect for me!

I opted to make three zipper pouches using my Patchwork Zippie pattern. The pattern calls for a patchwork assembly, so for the checkerboard style pouch, I alternated the Floral print in the Red and Black colorway. It has a retro feel to it, don’t you think?

For the other two pouches, I opted for a whole cloth exterior. The Main print in the Black colorway really shines with the giant bursts of floral bouquets. The other whole cloth pouch I made is the Cherries print in the Black colorway and it’s just too darling! I tried out some different quilting motifs for each pouch, all with a bold contrast of red thread. It just seals the deal for me!
